Kepler's Books in Menlo Park is Gone!
Posted: Sep 1 2005, 03:35 AM
I just heard some really sad news for fans of independent bookstores. Kepler's Books in Menlo Park closed its doors yesterday without warning after being a community icon and a really cool book store for 50 years.

I've heard rumor the Kepler's is reopening. I don't know if this is true or not, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Just overheard it somewhere or did you find a source? ArsNova knows someone who lives across the street from Keplers, so maybe we should get in touch with them.
If this is true, it would be absolutely awesome! I know the age of independent bookstores has entered a dark ages, but we've GOTTA be able to support at least one hometown icon without the store being named Barnes & Noble or Borders.
